Community connections and meaningful relationships create a sense of belonging that benefits the communities we belong to.  Our programs are designed to get people involved in their community and to deepen and expand their social connections. We offer a variety of fun programs based on your interests and ideas.  In order to make these programs fun and successful, we need your input and suggestions so please share ideas, feedback and questions with Emily Raming at

Learning Labs:
Learning labs are educational and skill development programs designed for adults 18 and older. Learning Labs focus on  creative self expression, strengthening  social skills, trying new things, working as part of a team and fostering personal growth. Our learning labs are ideal for individuals who enjoy creative hands-on learning, are able to participate in a group setting independently and can make a commitment to attend all sessions.

heART Words and Dinner
Maker’s Lab:
TotalLink2 Community’s Maker’s Lab is a creative learning environment where students work separately and collaboratively to create, explore, discover and invent their own products using a variety of tools and materials. Each session includes demonstrations of skills to complete projects that allow students to model, experiment and learn at their own pace. We’ll create a variety of products including: cards, soap, bath bombs, mosaic stepping stones and will work as a group to collaborate on refurbishing a piece of furniture.
Maker’s Lab will offer students the opportunity to explore and develop skills in: woodworking, sewing, screen printing, manufacturing or a combination of these skills.

ArtLab for EveryOne:
This creative and hands-on workshop is ideal for young adults who want to discover and expand their artistic talents and those who already enjoy making art. Inspiration for your art will come from our shared and personal ideas, demonstrations and exploring the work of other artists. Caren Miller and volunteers will expose students to a wide range of art mediums.

Yoga and Healthy Supper Club:
By pairing yoga and cooking a sensible meal young adults with special needs will learn how to become more in-tune with their body and mind.
Yoga will be facilitated by Pam Tokowitz, a certified Yoga instructor. There is a focus on teaching yoga concepts such as breathing, balance, strength and flexibility. There is a focus on learning a variety of poses and salutations.
Healthy Supper Club is designed for people looking to learn how to prepare and cook meals with healthy portions. We will have engaging discussions about nutrition and social skills in a warm community setting.

Next Chapter Book Club Plus: 
Program meets the 1st and 3rd Saturday
Expect to have a lot of fun as we dive into a story together and discuss its characters and plot. Each meeting starts with members having the option to have/make a snack and meet to connect with other members. We read the story together as a group (all reading levels welcomed) taking turns. Melissa Paull, our facilitator will use strategies that are inclusive to all. During the school year, Melissa is an instructional support teacher and provides academic interventions for students in both literacy and math. Thank you to UPS for DownS for financially supporting this club! Participants will also participate in a fitness activity. This session, Pam Tokowitz will be teaching Yoga and Rhythm of Life. Pam is a certified yoga instructor. In Yoga, there will be a focus on breathing, relaxation, a variety of poses for all levels and abilities. Rhythm of Life, is a fun, drumming experience for all levels.  There will be a focus on reducing stress, attention to task, social connection, eye-hand coordination, self-expression, movement and FUN!

heART Words and Dinner: 
Program meets the 3rd Friday
heARt Words is an inclusive community for writers of all abilities. Through inspiring verbal and visual prompts, TL2C facilitators and trained volunteers will encourage self-expression of emotions, courage, imagination, experience and heart.
TL2C participants will be partnered with a volunteer mentor who can assist in the writing process. Group members are encouraged to share what they have written with the group. This program is facilitated by Pam Tokowitz and Jamie Weller.
Dinner: Join us before heART Words for dinner at Marcello’s. We will meet and enjoy dinner as a group before walking over to the church. Participants are responsible for purchasing their dinner and we ask everyone to use cash.

Social Connections:

Social Connections are social and recreational programs designed specifically for transition age young adults and older. We’ll include peers who have the same interests and desires to get out and explore the great places in our own backyard and community.

Saturday Social:

This program meets the 3rd Saturday of each month. Looking to have fun, meet friends and have a great Saturday night? Join us this Fall at our monthly Saturday Socials. The goal of Saturday Socials is to foster a sense of friendship, community and fun among young adult with and without disabilities. Each monthly social will include both structured and unstructured group activities, music, food and fun. From holiday parties to Bingo to sing-a-longs, our peer mentors will join us for a great Saturday night out!! TotalLink2 Community staff and volunteers will facilitate this program.

Saturday Night Out With The Guys:
This program meets the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month.
On the 2nd Saturday, the group will enjoy a night out in the community at some of their favorite places- Sky High Sports, Dave and Busters and Glow Golf. The “guys” and facilitators drive together, dine together and spend time playing games, attending events and learning new things.
On the 4th Saturday, there will be a focus on making friends and exploring common interests. Regular get-togethers foster a sense of community, friendship and confidence. At each meeting there will be a topic of discussion (friendship, relationships, etc), dinner and game play. This program is facilitated by Jonathan Rauwerda and Drew Philips.

Girlfriends Group/WerQ:
This program meets the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month
If you enjoy making new friends, sharing your thoughts and feelings about friends and relationships, dining out with friends, creating things (arts & crafts, cooking), playing games or volunteering with fun-loving girlfriends, then this group is for you!! This is an opportunity for a small group of young women ages 18 to 30 to develop and strengthen friendships, gain confidence in community settings, and create new friendships. There will be a focus on fostering connections among group members in and outside of scheduled group meetings.  Jessie Fryman, a certified WerQ instructor and special educator, will be leading WerQ!

Come join your friends for a fun Friday Night Out! We will first enjoy dinner where we read movie reviews, learn about the characters and story and watch the trailer. After dinner we will enjoy seeing the movie together.

Community Events:

Community Events are outings in the community designed specifically for transition age young adults and older. Our community events are open to all adults. We’ll partake in local community events and visit places of interest.
